Tripura cabinet clears recruitment of 200 Jr. Engineers, 100 Staff Nurses

The Tripura council of ministers on Tuesday gave approval for recruitment of 200 Junior Engineers under PWD, ICA minister and cabinet spokesman Sushanta Chowdhury said.
“The 200 Junior Engineers—100 Degree level and 100 diploma level will soon be recruited under the PWD in Grade-5(A) and in Grade-5(B) of Tripura Engineers Service (TES) through Tripura public Service Commission. The aspirants will get opportunity in all three streams- Civil, Mechanical and Electrical,” Chowdhury said.
In another major decision, the Tripura cabinet on Tuesday approved recruitment of 100 Staff Nurses under the Health and Family Welfare department.
“To strengthen the Health services, the state government has decided to recruit 100 staff nurses on a fixed-pay basis. The nurses play an important role in delivering healthcare,” he said.
Besides, 22 posts of Pharmacists (Homeopathy), 25 posts of Pharmacists (Ayurvedic) and 39 posts of Laboratory Technicians (Blood) would be filled up under the Health and Family Welfare department, he said, adding that a Board would soon be constituted by the department to complete the recruitment process.
The state cabinet also cleared a proposal for creation of 90 promotional posts for Multipurpose Supervisors (Male and Female) under the Health department, the ICA minister said.
The other decisions included creation of 12 posts for Lower Division Clerk (Fixed Pay, Group-C) under the Directorate of Audit, Finance department.
Under the Directorate of ICA, 16 posts have been created. The posts included four Assistant Directors (promotional), six Senior Information Officers (promotional) and six Reporters (direct post), Chowdhury said.
The cabinet also cleared a proposal for filling up of four Assistant Professors in different disciplines in the Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (RIPSAT), he said, adding that the recruitment process would commence soon under the Health and Family Welfare department.
Under the Health department, 25 supernumerary promotional posts of driver (Group-C) to be filled up by ad-hoc promotion as decided by the cabinet, Chowdhury said.
