Tripura cabinet goes paperless, e-Office achievers felicitated

Agartala, Sept 27: Tripura cabinet has turned paperless. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has inaugurated the e-Cabinet facility in presence of other members of the cabinet.
The Chief Minister said, the eCabinet facility has been launched in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India initiative.
The council of ministers also conducted the first meeting in the new digital system.
Tripura became the fourth State in the country to have e-Cabinet facility.
The Chief Minister said, the eCabinet is a step towards ensuring smart governance in Tripura.
Meanwhile, various departments have worked on mission mode and implemented e-Office initiative, ensuring smooth governance.
The Chief Minister felicitated such departments having 100 percent e-Office facility during the programme at the Secretariat.
He congratulated all the officials concerned for this achievement towards digital transformation and smart governance.
Speaking in the programme, the Chief Minister shared that approximately 4,250 individuals in 94 departments have already received training for handling eOffice.
He said, over 25,000 e-files have already been generated in the e-Office. As the state is moving towards a paperless future, this initiative would be an advantage.
Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, Secretary P.K. Chakraborty and other concerned officials were present.
