Tripura Chief Minister hails Union Budget as 'Roadmap to Viksit Bharat'

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has welcomed the Union Budget 2026 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday, describing it as a “visionary blueprint” that charts India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Extending heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Finance Minister, Dr. Saha said the Budget lays down a clear 25-year roadmap for national growth and transformation.

In his reaction, the Chief Minister highlighted the Budget’s wide-ranging focus areas—from manufacturing and world-class infrastructure to healthcare and tourism, and from empowering rural heartlands to embracing cutting-edge artificial intelligence. He noted that the provisions also extend to modern sports arenas and sacred pilgrimage destinations, reflecting a holistic vision for development.

Dr. Saha emphasized that the Budget ignites the aspirations of youth, women, and farmers across every village, town, and city, transforming dreams into reality. “This initiative strengthens the foundation of a self-reliant, globally competitive India,” he remarked, adding that the government’s priorities are clearly aligned with improving quality of life and ensuring inclusive growth.

Local observers see the Chief Minister’s statement as a strong endorsement of the Union government’s long-term vision, with Tripura expected to benefit from enhanced infrastructure, livelihood opportunities, and rural empowerment under the new framework.
