Tripura CM congratulates Himanta, to join oath ceremony on May 12

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday congratulated Himanta Biswa Sarma, who has been unanimously elected leader of BJP legislature Party in Assam.

Dr. Saha posted the congratulatory message on his social media after Union Minister and former BJP national president J.P. Nadda announced it. BJP had appointed J.P. Nadda and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini as central observers for the election of the BJP legislature party leader in Assam.

“Heartiest congratulations to Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma Ji on being unanimously elected as Leader of the Legislative Assembly in the presence of Central Observers Hon’ble Union Minister Shri J.P. Nadda Ji and Hon’ble Haryana CM Shri Nayab Saini Ji. Under the inspiring vision of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, your dynamic leadership will take Assam to greater heights,” Dr. Saha wrote in his message.

Himanta Biswa Sarma will take oath as the Chief Minister of Assam along with other members of the council of ministers for a second consecutive term at the Khanapara Veterinary College playground in Guwahati on May 12.

Tripura Chief Minister along with several other leaders from the state are expected to join the swearing-in ceremony of the Assam government.

The BJP, a part of the NDA, alone won 82 seats in the 126-member House in the recently held elections in Assam.
