Agartala, Apr 30: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who along with Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya joined 100th edition of Mann Ki Baat at Raj Bhavan on Sunday, felicitated those from the state who were earlier mentioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his popular radio programme.
The persons who were honoured by the Chief Minister included gymnast Dipa Karmakar, eminent social worker Bikram Bahadur Jamatia, cart puller Goutam Das, Apple Ber grower Bikramjit Chakma and others- Narayan Das, Budharani Debbarma, Simal Das, Sushen Ray and Brahendra Dutta.
Eminent personalities from various fields, public representatives and high officials were present in the programme.
The Chief Minister said, the people eagerly wait for the last Sunday of every month to listen to the Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat programme.
The 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat was officially aired in around 1,515 venues in Tripura.
Dr. Saha said, the Prime Minister never speaks about anything related to politics but highlights the innovative ideas of common people and their stories.
He also said, “PM Modi was saying that when he was Chief Minister of Gujarat he used to connect with common masses each and every day but he found himself detached from common people after he became the Prime Minister. To connect with the common people he introduced Mann Ki Baat.”
Later, the Chief Minister and other dignitaries visited an exhibition which was organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at Raj Bhavan on the 100th episode of “Mann Ki Baat”.
