Tripura CM inspects infrastructure for proposed Dental College

Agartala, Nov 22: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s dream for setting up a Dental College in the state will turn into a reality soon.
Dr. Saha along with the health officials inspected the proposed infrastructure of the Dental College at G+7 building in IGM Hospital, Agartala.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister held discussions with the health officials and reviewed the preparations for opening the state’s first Dental College. He also passed necessary instructions to the officials concerned. The proposal was recently approved by the state cabinet.
The Chief Minister feels that the proposed Dental College would largely benefit the people of the state. The new facility would be made operational in the ground, fifth, sixth and seventh floors of the G+7 building.
After the inspection, the Chief Minister chaired a meeting with Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, Secretary of Health and Family Welfare – Dr. Debashis Basu, Health director Dr. Subhashis Debbarma and others.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister passed an instruction to the health officials for taking preparations as per the guidelines prescribed by the Dental Council of India. Infrastructural development and installation of new equipment were also discussed in the meeting.
Medical Superintendent of IGM Hospital- Dr. Sharmila Sarkar, Deputy Director of Tripura Health Services Dr. Rajesh Acharjee and executive engineer Dilip Kumar Roy were also present in the meeting.
