Tripura CM pays surprise visit to hospital

Agartala, May 14: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha paid a surprise visit to Bishalgarh sub-divisional hospital in Sepahijala district on his way back to Agartala on Sunday evening.
He was returning from Kakraban. It was about 9 pm when Dr. Saha stopped the convoy and straightway entered the hospital for surprise inspection.
The Chief Minister interacted with the medical officer on duty and some patients to know about the existing health services in the hospital.
In a social media post, the Chief Minister mentioned that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the present state government has been sincerely working towards improving the public health system up to the primary level.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated a two-day traditional Charak Mela and Gajan Utsav organized by ICA department and Kakraban RD Block at Melaghar Tilla SB School ground.
Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister said, the present state government is working to revive the lost culture.
Charak Mela is a reflection of our rich culture and tradition; it strengthens the cultural bond and harmony among the people, he said.
Finance minister Pranajit Singha Roy, MLA Abhishek Debroy, MLA Jitendra Majumder and other dignitaries were present.
