Agartala, May 24: Rahul Chakraborty, a youth from Gokulnagar village in Tripura, might have never imagined that his appeal on social media would draw attention of the Chief Minister and he would get a quick response.

However, the youth is now on cloud nine as Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha noticed his appeal on Facebook and responded to it positively.

The youth had posted his appeal seeking benefits of die-in-harness case as his father, who was serving under Tripura State Rifles (TSR), had passed away while on duty in 2009.

The youth also expressed his sufferings that he had already reached out to various levels but there was no positive outcome except some assurance.

The appeal on digital platform drew attention of the Chief Minister and the youth was asked to send a formal letter to the Chief Minister's Office regarding the issue.

"A formal letter may be sent to my office at the Secretariat. We shall look into the matter", the Chief Minister commented in the Facebook post of Rahul, who also conveyed thanks to the Chief Minister.

The gesture of the Chief Minister earned praises from the netizens extensively. According to many of the netizens, the Chief Minister's response to the youth's appeal is a manifestation of his presence on digital platforms.

Meanwhile, Dr. Saha holds a weekly public-interaction programme 'Mukhyamantri Samipeshu' to address the grievances of the common people. This programme has already gained huge popularity.
