Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha reviewed the preparations in the state for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
To raise awareness among the people about the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, the Chief Minister stressed on placing hoardings at various places. Besides, he advised to organize Prabhat Pheris as well as to involve various clubs and social organizations to make the country-wide campaign successful in every district.
Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, state police chief V.S. Yadav, principal secretaries and secretaries of various departments, District Magistrates of all districts and officers of line departments joined the review meeting held in hybrid mode.
According to Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs department Abhishek Chandra, requisition for 5,45,477 national flags was received from the eight districts. Among them, 5,37,000 national flags would be arranged through Handloom and Handicrafts department, TRLM, TULM and central government, he told the meeting.
He also said, 50,000 paper flags, 1600 wall painting, 200 table flags and 35,000 stickers would be made through TRLM.
Besides, other initiatives like postering in road side, spread of promotional videos in Bengali and Kokborok languages, and spread of awareness message by eminent personalities on social media would be initiated to make the campaign successful.
The Chief Secretary asked the District Magistrates to encourage the people for purchasing the flags. Apart from clubs and social organizations, the Chief Secretary asked the District Magistrates to involve BSF, CRPF, Assam Rifles and PSUs in the campaign.
Secretary of Urban Development department Kiran Gitte informed the meeting that to mark Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, a 30-meter high-mast flag would be installed by Agartala Municipal Corporation at the state secretariat complex.
Meanwhile, as part of the country-wide campaign, a plan has been initiated to hoist Tricolour in over 4 lakh houses of Tripura.
'Har Ghar Tiranga' is a campaign announced by the central government as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration to inspire the young generation for patriotism on the occasion of 75th year of the country's Independence.
