Tripura CM takes part in “Raksha Bandhan” festival

Agartala Aug 11: On the auspicious occasion of Rakhi Purnima, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha took part in the Raksha Bandhan celebrations on Thursday.
Sisters of Prajapita Brahmakumari along with large number of BJP Mahila Morcha activists, women and young girls including students and police personnel gathered at the official residence of Tripura CM on Thursday morning to tie rakhi on the wrist of CM Dr Manik Saha.
Dr Saha was overwhelmed with the gesture of love and faith bestowed upon him as this was the first time when he took part in such grand rakhi celebration after been appointed as the Chief Minister of the state.
Talking to the reporters, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said this has increased his responsibilities further towards making a safer, stronger and developed Tripura and he shall try his best to achieve that.
Dr Saha added, “Rakhsha Bandhan literally means the bond of protection, obligation, or care, added to the ritual”.
Making few important announcements as a gift of Raksha Bandhan for the women of the state, CM Dr Manik Saha said, “Various important decisions have been taken for the women of the state especially to ensure their safety which is my utmost priority. This includes, free of cost learning for all girl students in all the Govt Colleges of the state. Introduction of 1091 Security Helpline number for immediate address in any situation related to safety and security of women across the state”.
“Moreover, 400 new CCTV cameras and 12 automatic number plate recognition cameras are going to be installed so as to ensure security of women”, said CM Dr Manik Saha.
