Agartala, Mar 11: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha will join an important meeting on three new criminal laws in Guwahati on March 16.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair the meeting.

According to sources, implementation of the three new laws- Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) will be discussed in the meeting. 

These laws aim to modernize and reform India's criminal justice system.

Ahead of the meeting, the Tripura Chief Minister chaired a review meeting on Monday to assess the state's preparedness regarding the implementation of these laws.

The meeting was attended by officials from Home, Police, Law, Prosecution, Forensic, Health, and Prison departments.
