Tripura Congress pays tribute to Karpoori Thakur's legacy

The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on Saturday observed the birth anniversary of veteran socialist leader Karpoori Thakur, underscoring his enduring legacy of social justice and people-centric governance. 

The commemoration took place at the Pradesh Congress headquarters in Agartala, where party leaders and workers gathered to honour his contributions.

Floral tributes were offered to Thakur, and TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha addressed the gathering, emphasizing the relevance of Thakur’s vision in contemporary politics. “Thakur’s dedication to social justice and public service has been a cornerstone of the party’s philosophy, and his influence continues to be felt in Bihar and beyond. His policies and reforms have laid the groundwork for greater equality and opportunity, and his work remains a benchmark for ethical and people-centric governance,” Saha remarked.

Karpoori Thakur, often remembered as a champion of the marginalized, played a pivotal role in shaping inclusive policies that sought to uplift disadvantaged communities. His leadership style, rooted in simplicity and integrity, continues to inspire Congress workers and leaders across the country.
