Political parties across Tripura observed the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, paying floral tributes and recalling his immense contribution to India’s freedom struggle.
At the CPIM state office in Melarmath, party leaders led by State Secretary and MLA Jiten Choudhury honored Netaji’s memory. Speaking to reporters, Choudhury said, “Netaji was a revolutionary who dared to challenge colonial power with unmatched courage. His vision for an independent India continues to inspire us to fight for justice and equality.”
Meanwhile, the Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee also marked the occasion. State Congress president Asish Kumar Saha reflected on Netaji’s life and legacy, stating, “Netaji embodied the spirit of sacrifice and patriotism. His leadership of the Indian National Army was a testament to his determination to see India free. We must ensure that the younger generation studies his life and draws inspiration from his values of unity and national pride.”
The observances reflected a shared sentiment across party lines — that Netaji’s vision of a free, just, and united India remains a guiding light in contemporary times.
