Tripura Government launches special training for new TCS Officers at LBSNAA, Mussoorie

In a landmark step to strengthen Tripura’s administrative framework, 27 newly recruited Tripura Civil Service (TCS) officers have embarked on a 10‑day customised training programme at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie.

The initiative, introduced under the leadership of Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, marks the first time Tripura has sent its officers for such a tailored programme at India’s premier civil services training institution.

The inaugural session was chaired by LBSNAA Director and senior Tripura cadre IAS officer Sriram Taranikanti, who congratulated the officers on joining the service and urged them to uphold values of integrity, transparency, honesty and compassion.

He reminded them that the role of a civil servant extends beyond administration, requiring ethical leadership, innovation, empathy and a commitment to public welfare.

Deputy Director Deep Jagdip welcomed the participants, expressing confidence that the programme would prepare them to meet the evolving challenges of modern governance.

Joint Director Priya Mishra outlined the course structure, which covers public policy, district administration, ethics, leadership, financial management, disaster management, digital governance, good governance practices, case studies, field learning and interactive sessions with senior administrators and faculty.

Reflecting Tripura’s cultural and agricultural heritage, the trainee officers presented Director Taranikanti with a replica of the sacred Mata Tripuraswari Temple, along with GI‑tagged Matabari Pera, Tripura’s organic scented lemon and aromatic Kalikhasa rice.

The officers described the programme as a rare opportunity to learn from the country’s finest administrative institution. They expressed gratitude to the Tripura Government and LBSNAA, pledging to apply the knowledge and values gained during the training to deliver efficient, transparent and citizen‑centric governance for the people of Tripura.
