Tripura govt suspends IFS officer Gaurav Ravindra Wagh

While a disciplinary proceeding against IFS officer Gaurav Ravindra Wagh is underway, the state government ordered immediate suspension of the officer, who was posted as District Forest Officer (DFO), South Tripura.

According to the official order issued on Tuesday, during the period of suspension, the headquarters of Wagh will be at Agartala and shall not leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission of the competent authority.

Wagh, DCF, now posted in the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and head of Forests Force, Agartala, has been put under suspension by the competent authority in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (a) of sub-rule (I) of Rule 3 of the All India Services (Discpline and Appeal) Rules 1969.

The suspension came days after his relative Rajenddra Chintaman Kaklij was arrested with Rs. 60 lakh in cash at Agartala Railway station.
