Tripura Govt taking steps to further strengthen school education: CM

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday said that the state government is taking a series of measures to further strengthen the school education system across the state.

Speaking during his visit to Bardowali Higher Secondary School in Agartala, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of ensuring quality education in all government and government-aided schools while maintaining a clean, healthy, and conducive learning environment.

He said that teachers have a crucial role to play in providing quality education and fostering a positive atmosphere within educational institutions.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister reviewed various aspects of the school and directed the concerned officials to take the necessary steps to develop a model school.

Referring to an issue raised by the school's headmistress, Dr. Saha said students currently have to stand under the scorching sun during the morning prayer. He assured that the government would take the necessary steps to address the problem at the earliest.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Director of School Education Samit Roy Chowdhury, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, and other officials during the visit.

Replying to a media query, Dr. Saha said, initiative will be taken to recruit TET qualified teachers by balancing the financial matters and vacancies. He said, the government is recruiting teachers almost every year. There is no need to worry.
