Agartala, May 20: Finally, the Tripura government is ready to go whole-hog against the teachers engaged in private tuition.
In an official memo, Higher Education director N.C. Sharma expressed serious concern over the issue of private tuition by a section of teachers of government and government-aided schools.
“It is a matter of great concern that some teachers are reported to have been awfully busy with private tuition violating the instructions of the Department. This is a painful state of affairs,” the memo read.
All the District Education Officers have been instructed to enquire the matter through the officers posted in the concerned districts under their disposal and take appropriate action against the teachers who are involved in private tuition or private teaching activities.
Meanwhile, similar steps were taken by the government earlier too but there were no fruitful results. This time, the people are expecting that the government’s initiative would put an end to the trend.
