Tripura Gramin Bank GM meets State Ministers; Focus on Rural Growth & Financial Inclusion

Tripura Gramin Bank’s General Manager, Anup Kumar Saha, visited the State Secretariat on Wednesday for a courtesy meeting with Industries & Commerce Minister Santana Chakma and Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, where discussions centered on strengthening financial inclusion and accelerating rural development across the state.

 

The meeting was described as cordial yet purposeful, providing a platform to review the Bank’s ongoing initiatives and its role in supporting Tripura’s socio-economic progress. 

 

Officials highlighted the importance of expanding banking access in remote villages, promoting entrepreneurship among youth and small businesses, and aligning financial services with government priorities for tribal welfare and inclusive growth.

 

Tripura Gramin Bank reaffirmed its commitment to delivering accessible and customer-centric banking services, emphasizing its role as a partner in the state’s development journey. 

 

The Bank has been actively working to empower farmers, artisans, and rural households through innovative schemes designed to encourage self-reliance and economic resilience.

 

The visit has been seen as a positive step toward deeper collaboration between the banking sector and the state government, ensuring that financial services directly contribute to Tripura’s growth aspirations.
