Tripura Gramin Bank wins SKOCH Award 2025 for innovative practices

Tripura Gramin Bank has been conferred the prestigious SKOCH Award 2025 under the category of Innovative Practices, recognising the regional rural bank’s contribution to institutional innovation, inclusive banking and customer-focused service delivery.

The award was presented at the 105th SKOCH Summit, themed ‘Governing Viksit Bharat’, held at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on Friday. The SKOCH Award is regarded as one of India’s highest independent honours in the field of governance and development and is conferred after a rigorous, multi-stage, outcome-based evaluation process.

According to an official statement, Tripura Gramin Bank successfully qualified through all stages of assessment, reflecting its sustained emphasis on innovation, adoption of technology-driven solutions and expansion of financial inclusion, particularly in rural and underserved areas of Tripura.

The Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank, Satyendra Singh, along with Jeet Bhattacharya, Manager (Marketing) at the bank’s head office, received the award on behalf of the institution during the summit.

The bank said the recognition underscores its consistent efforts to introduce innovative banking practices aimed at improving access to formal financial services and supporting socio-economic development across the state. It added that the award validates its customer-centric approach and alignment with national development priorities.

Expressing gratitude, Singh said the honour belonged to the entire Tripura Gramin Bank family and credited the officers and staff for their dedication and teamwork. He said the collective commitment of employees had played a key role in achieving the milestone.
