Tripura Industry Owners' Association forms new committee; Felicitates meritorious students, Hosts health camp

The Tripura Industry Owners’ Association has taken a major step to strengthen its organisational activities with the formation of a 13‑member new committee during a special programme held at the Bodhjungnagar Industrial Complex. The event combined organisational renewal with social outreach, making it a significant occasion for the state’s industrial community.

In the presence of the newly elected committee members, discussions were held on key industrial issues and the roadmap for expanding the association’s activities in the future. Leaders stressed the need for greater coordination among industrial units and pledged to broaden the scope of the organisation’s work.

One of the highlights of the programme was the felicitation of meritorious students, children of workers and employees engaged in various industrial establishments. Certificates and honours were presented to students who excelled in academics, with the aim of encouraging them to pursue higher achievements. 

The initiative was widely appreciated as a meaningful effort to support the families of industrial workers and promote education among the younger generation.

The association also organised a health camp to raise awareness and provide basic healthcare services to the local community. Residents underwent medical check‑ups and received necessary health advice, underscoring the association’s commitment to social responsibility beyond industrial growth.

The event was attended by prominent figures including Pan Gopal Saha, General Secretary of the Tripura Industry Owners’ Association; Ratan Biswas, head of Longtarai; Sujit Roy, General Secretary of Tripura Merchants’ Association; and Vishal Solanki, leader of Tripura’s steel industry, along with other industrialists, officials, and dignitaries.

Speakers at the programme emphasised that while industrial development is vital, equal attention must be given to the welfare of workers and their families. They announced plans to undertake more initiatives in the fields of education, health, and social responsibility in the coming days.
