Tripura: Kalyanpur MLA extends support to marginalized students

Kalyanpur Pramodnagar MLA Pinaki Das Choudhury has once again set an example of compassion by standing beside underprivileged families in his constituency. Known for his consistent efforts in education, healthcare, and welfare initiatives, the legislator has built a reputation for using his personal MLA allowance and party colleagues’ support to carry out community-focused work.

On Saturday evening, a brief program was organized at the Kalyanpur Mandal office where several meritorious yet financially struggling students received essential textbooks and study materials. The initiative aimed to ensure that no student’s education is disrupted due to poverty and to inspire them to pursue their dreams with renewed confidence.

Among the beneficiaries was Jeet Debnath, son of Biplab Debnath from Bateka village, who has been facing financial hurdles in continuing his studies. Similarly, Suchitra Sarkar’s three children—Samarjit, Jewel, and Riktik—from South Ghilatli Panchayat, were also provided with educational support. The gesture brought a message of hope to these families.

Speaking at the event, MLA Pinaki Das Choudhury emphasized, “Education is the greatest strength in life. To advance society, it is essential to spread the light of learning to everyone. If this small effort helps shape a student’s future, our mission is successful.” He assured that such initiatives will continue, with greater focus on education, healthcare, and social security.

Local residents and parents expressed that beyond financial aid, this effort instills confidence and motivation among students. They believe the MLA’s humanitarian approach will inspire others in society to step forward in similar ways.
