Tripura Nurse gets Florence Nightingale Award

Agartala, Nov 08: Atashi Majumdar, a nurse from Tripura has been honoured with Florence Nightingale Award on Monday.
President of India, Droupadi Murmu presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards for the year 2021 to the Nursing professionals at Rastrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
She worked as a nurse at Belonia Sub-division Hospital for a long time. She was honoured with the Florence Nightingale Award as recognition for her valuable services to the community.
Atashi Majumder spent 32 years as a nurse. She was honoured for her work efficiency. This achievement brought happiness to the residents of Belonia as well as every staff in the hospital and the nurses of the southern district.
The National Florence Nightingale Awards were instituted in the year 1973 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India as a mark of recognition for the meritorious services rendered by the nurses and nursing professionals to society.
