Agartala, Nov 23: Ending all specifications, Minister for Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury on Saturday confirmed that popular playback singer Shreya Ghosal will join a live concert in Agartala on Dec 14 next.

Speaking to the media, Chowdhury the live concert will be the closing event of Tripura Tourism's Promo Fest 2024. 

He said, the event, which is scheduled to be held at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala (7 pm onwards), will be open for all. There will be several zones in the ground. 
Chowdhury said, the first edition of the Promo Fest will commence from December 3 and it will be held in key tourist destinations.

The Tripura Tourism Promo Fest aims to promote the state's rich cultural heritage, stunning natural beauty and diverse tourism offerings. It will also showcase unique attractions, cuisine and handicrafts.

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha will inaugurate the festival at Narkelkunja, one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Tripura. The Chief Minister will also open new tourist facilities.

The next two events will be held at Neermahal (9th December) and Jampui Hills (11th December). The main event will be held in Agartala from December 12 to 14, including the live music concert.

As part of the initiative, the Tourism department will invite tour operators from across the country, Chowdhury said.

Meanwhile, there were widespread speculations on social media over the live concert of Shreya Ghosal in the city. But a section could not believe it since there was no official confirmation. On Saturday, after the Tourism minister's press conference, the promo video of the popular Bollywood singer also stormed the social media.

The youngsters are very excited for the upcoming event, while the authority concerned is planning for an elaborate arrangement for crowd management.
