Agartala, Feb 03: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said the people of Tripura made up their minds to vote for BJP in the ensuing assembly elections. He said, Tripura is ready to form the double-engine government.
The Assam Chief Minister, who addressed several poll rallies at Suryamaninagar, Banamalipur in West Tripura district and Krishnapur in Khowai district in support of the BJP-nominated candidates on Friday, said Tripura witnessed huge development since formation of the BJP government.
Be it farmers’ welfare, connectivity development, increase in social allowance or hike in employees’ salary, the double-engine government has done tremendous works; the people’s support is with the BJP, he said at Suryamaninagar constituency.
He appealed to the people to vote for BJP to experience a new wave of progress in the region. According to Dr. sarma, he is confident that BJP would surely win the assembly elections. BJP fielded sitting minister and local MLA Ram Prasad Paul in Suryamaninagar seat.
In a social media post, he wrote, “Under the leadership of Adarniya PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fulfilled all its promises, including the construction of Ram Mandir and scrapping of Article 370 from J&K.”
The Assam Chief Minister was also welcomed amid huge enthusiasm of the people at Banamalipur where he addressed a Vijay Sankalp rally in support of the party candidate Rajib Bhattacharjee.
“Overwhelmed by the huge turnout of people at the election rally addressed by me in Banamalipur constituency, Tripura. I urged voters to elect BJP Tripura candidate & State BJP chief Shri Rajib Bhattacharjee for ensuring continuity in the current growth trajectory,” he wrote on social media.
