Tripura SC Welfare Minister praises PM Modi's 'Mann ki Baat' as source of inspiration, highlights key initiatives in 137th episode

ARDD, Fisheries and SC Welfare Minister Sudhanshu Das on Sunday joined party workers of Krishnanagar Booth No. 10 under Fatikroy Mandal to listen to the 137th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

Speaking at the gathering, the Minister described the programme as “an essential source of encouragement for every citizen,” stressing that it is not a political event but a national platform where the Prime Minister shares important messages with the people.

Das noted that through ‘Mann Ki Baat’, citizens often learn about lesser-known initiatives and inspiring stories from across the country. Referring to the Prime Minister’s address, he highlighted the launch of the Bharat Rajya website, which makes India’s regional history and rulers more interactive and accessible to the public.

The Minister also drew attention to the Prime Minister’s emphasis on women’s contribution to nation-building, citing examples of women entrepreneurs empowered through schemes like PM SVANidhi and technical training programmes. He said such initiatives are creating new opportunities and strengthening self-reliance among women.

On grassroots progress, Das pointed to the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, under which solar mini-grids are illuminating homes in remote tribal areas. He mentioned how communities such as the Reang tribes in Tripura are benefiting, with solar power transforming rural livelihoods for farmers and local entrepreneurs.

Concluding his remarks, the Minister reiterated that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is a programme for all citizens, transcending party lines, and serves as a vital medium to inspire collective responsibility, unity, and progress.
