Agartala Oct 31: After an expansion of party base mainly in bordering sub-divisions and Muslim populated areas of Tripura, the Trinamool Congress has now begun its groundwork in the capital city with an eye on the ensuing 2023 assembly polls.
Monday Trinamool Congress leaders and activists led by TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev distributed party leaflets among the common people including pedestrians in the city with an aim to oust the ruling BJP in the next elections.
Talking to the reporters, Sushmita Dev said, “We are distributing leaflets to make the people of Tripura aware about the works done by Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool government in West Bengal”.
She added it is only Mamata Banerjeee’s party that can oust the ruling BJP from power and set the people of Tripura free from BJP’s misrule.
Dev further slammed the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party adding that, “Realizing its bleak future in Tripura, the BJP is spreading terror by encouraging criminals and anti-social elements to carry out heinous activities including atrocities on women”.
The TMC leaders said we are seeking support and votes from the common people of the state based on the developmental works done by Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool government in the state of West Bengal so that people can understand what TMC can give them.
