Agartala, Sept 22: The Tourism department organised a day-long seminar on Home-stay at Geetanjali State Guest House in Agartala on Thursday.

Deputy managing director of Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Dilip Debbarma inaugurated the seminar organized to mark World Tourism Day.

The seminar highlighted various aspects of home-stay concept. The representatives from Tripura Tour Operator Forum, Tripura Hotelier and Restaurant Association, Agartala Cycloholics, Agartala Adventure Club, Neermahal Adventure and Mountaineering, Trek to Wild and owners of home-stays shared their experiences in the seminar. 

Among others present in the seminar were officials of tourism department and senior journalist Manas Paul. 

As part of the World Tourism Day 2022 celebrations, the Tourism department initiated many other programmes including bi-cycle rally, painting workshop, exhibition, walk for all, cultural programmes etc. lined up till September 27.
