In a bid to harness the power of digital storytelling, the Tripura Tourism Department has rolled out the “Focus Tripura Reel Making Contest,” an initiative designed to showcase the state’s diverse tourist destinations through short, creative video reels.
The contest, organized in collaboration with the MyGov platform, invites citizens, content creators, and travel enthusiasts to capture the beauty, culture, and uniqueness of Tripura’s landscapes and heritage sites. Participants can register and submit their entries via tripura.mygov.in between June 3 and July 3, 2026.
Officials explained that the campaign is part of a broader push to boost tourism by leveraging social media platforms. By encouraging reel-based content, the department hopes to reach a wider audience and highlight both popular and lesser-known destinations. The initiative is expected to generate fresh interest in Tripura’s scenic hills, temples, wildlife sanctuaries, and cultural traditions.
Tourism authorities have urged active participation, stressing that the contest is not only about creativity but also about contributing to the state’s image as an attractive travel destination. “This is an opportunity for people to tell Tripura’s story in their own way and help the world discover its charm,” an official noted.
The launch of the contest signals Tripura’s growing emphasis on digital engagement and innovative promotion strategies, aligning with the state’s vision of making tourism a key driver of economic growth.
