A group of 40 Marketing Didis, nurtured under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), along with a State Coordinator, set off for Guwahati on Tuesday to attend a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on marketing skills at the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR).
Â
The initiative is designed to sharpen their expertise in branding, promotion, market linkage, and enterprise development, equipping them to provide stronger support to rural women entrepreneurs across Tripura.
Â
Following the Guwahati programme, the participants will also undergo a specialized rural marketing training at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C), ensuring exposure to advanced strategies in business development.
Â
TRLM officials emphasized that the effort is part of a broader mission to empower women at the grassroots level, improve livelihood opportunities, and create sustainable pathways for rural enterprises. By strengthening the Marketing Didis, the mission hopes to build a network of skilled mentors who can guide women entrepreneurs toward better market access and long-term success.
Â
This journey marks a significant step in Tripura’s ongoing campaign to transform rural communities through entrepreneurial empowerment and skill development.
