Tripura’s GBP hospital to soon have e-hospital facility: MoS Pratima Bhowmik

Agartala, Aug 08: Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik on Monday said the GBP hospital, the prime referral healthcare facility in Tripura, would have the e-hospital facilities very soon.
She said, initiatives have been taken to ensure 100 percent paperless service in the GBP hospital under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission.
There is a target to launch e-hospital facility in next three months and then start full-fledged service by six months. The Rogi Kalyan Samity would finance the project, she added.
According to Bhowmik, the e-hospital facility would benefit the patients to a large extent. She said, the doctors, nurses and other health staff would be imparted training for the e-hospital service.
Speaking to the media, Bhowmik also announced that the super specialty block would start functioning in the hospital by this year.
Bhowmik, who is the chairman of Rogi Kalyan Samity of GBP hospital, went to the Hospital and held a meeting and development of GB Hospital among the major issues. Health Secretary and District Magistrate of West Tripura, Medical Superintendent of the hospital and other officials were present in the meeting.
She said, a new generic medicine counter would be set up in the hospital by September 30 so that the patients can get prescribed generic medicines. The Minister of State also said that a shelter house (G+3) would soon be set up in the hospital by the Urban Development department and the Bhumi Pujan would take place very soon.
