TTAADC to elect new Leadership at Khumulwng on May 5, Oath taking scheduled for May 6

The Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) is set to take a decisive step in shaping its administration, with elections for key leadership posts scheduled for May 5. The process will formally establish the council’s new executive team, marking an important moment for governance in Tripura’s tribal regions.

As per the official notification issued by Subal Debbarma, the election for the posts of Chairman and Chief Executive Member (CEM) will be held on May 5 at 11:00 AM at the Council Bhawan in Khumulwng. All newly elected members have been asked to attend, as both positions will be chosen from among them.

The following day, May 6 at 11:00 AM, the oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected Chief Executive Member and other Executive Members will be organized at the Nuai Auditorium in Khumulwng. Invitations have been extended to all council members to witness the formal proceedings.

These events will officially constitute the new executive body of the TTAADC, enabling the council to begin its work on development, welfare, and empowerment initiatives in the tribal areas. Observers note that the leadership transition is significant, as the Chairman and CEM will play a central role in steering policy decisions and ensuring grassroots governance.
