In a shocking breach of judicial integrity, two individuals have been arrested for allegedly submitting forged documents in Dharmanagar court to secure bail for a Bangladeshi citizen. The accused, identified as Duple Nath and Sanjib Malakar, were taken into custody on Tuesday following a directive from the court.
Â
According to sources, Duple Nath, a government employee under the Health Department, submitted a fake salary slip to facilitate the bail process. He is currently posted at the Bhagyapur Sub-Centre under Brajendranagar Primary Health Centre and resides in Gobindapur, Dharmanagar subdivision. Sanjib Malakar is also accused of being involved in submitting forged documents during the court proceedings.
Â
The incident has triggered widespread concern across the region, with residents and officials expressing alarm over such fraudulent activity within the sanctity of the judicial system.Â
Â
Dharmanagar Police, led by Additional Officer-in-Charge Dulal Chandra Das, have launched a detailed probe to trace the origin of the forged documents and uncover the broader network, if any, behind the act.Â
Â
Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against all those found guilty, as the case continues to unfold.
