Agartala, Mar 29: A two-day national level seminar (online and offline mode) commenced at Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus in Agartala on Wednesday.
The Department of Ved, Paurahitya and Karmakanda organized the seminar with virtual presence of Prof. Debendranath Pandey, HOD, Veda, Somnath Sanskrit University, Gujarat as chief guest.
Addressing the seminar, he highlighted the importance of Atharvaveda from the perspective of Medical Science. Besides, Prof. Rabindra Bhattacharjee, HOD, Sanskrit, Kolkata University virtually attended the seminar as the guest of honour.
In his speech, Prof. Bhattacharjee applauded the initiative taken by the campus. Among other dignitaries, Prof. Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, HOD, School of Vedic, Vedanga and Vedic Sciences and Prof. Awedesh Kumar Chubey, HOD, School of Darshana also joined the seminar.
Prof. Sukanta Kumar Senapati, Director of Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya campus presided over the session.
A good number of participants from various parts of the country are taking part in the two-day national seminar.
Dr. Prakash Ranjan Mishra, Assistant Professor and Convenor, Dept of Ved, Vedanga and Paurahityam and Dr. Subrahmanya Bhatt, Assistant Professor (Vyakaran) are coordinating the seminar.
