U-18: Riyad's spin magic powers Bishalgarh to win

Captain Riyad Hossain’s lethal spin bowling proved decisive as Bishalgarh subdivision cruised into the quarter-finals of the State Under-18 Cricket Tournament, crushing Belonia subdivision by 10 wickets at the Jamjuri School ground.

Bishalgarh had virtually sealed victory by the end of the first day. Resuming on 28 for 6, Belonia added only 18 runs on Wednesday before losing their remaining wickets, getting bowled out for 46 runs in 27.2 overs. Riyad Hossain claimed a remarkable nine wickets for 19 runs.

Chasing a target of just five runs, Bishalgarh reached it without losing a wicket. Earlier, in reply to Belonia’s 74 runs, Bishalgarh had scored 116 in the first innings.
