U-19: State Tripura cricketers complete final training

Debanshu Dutta and teammates completed their final practice session in Delhi on Sunday morning, focusing mainly on fielding under the guidance of head coach Amitabha Bilaskar. The session lasted nearly two hours.

The Tripura squad will leave for Dehradun on Monday to compete in the National Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy One-Day Cricket Tournament, beginning on October 9. Tripura will play their opening match against Himachal Pradesh at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy Ground.

Tripura, placed in a strong group, will face Himachal Pradesh, Hyderabad, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, and Chandigarh. The matches are scheduled as follows — October 11 vs Hyderabad, October 13 vs Karnataka, October 15 vs Chhattisgarh, and October 17 vs Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, Tripura wicketkeeper-batter Dipankar Bhatnagar celebrated his birthday on Saturday night, an event arranged by the team management to boost player morale ahead of the new season.

Debanshu Dutta will lead the team, with Rakesh Rudra Pal as vice-captain. The full squad includes Siddharth Debnath, Arkajit Pal, Dipankar Bhatnagar, Arpajit Saha, Mohammad Mahin Choudhury, Ayush-Anil Debnath, Sagar Sutradhar, Abhrajit Das, Debjyoti Pal, Prithviraj Ghosh, Arif Miah, Deep Deb, Shubhajit Sanjib Das, Riad Hossain, Rahul Barman, and Abhik Pal.

The coaching staff consists of head coach Amitabh Bilaskar, assistant coach Rasudeb Dutta, trainer Bapi Biswas, physio Sohag Chandra Saha, video analyst Shubhendu Bhattacharya, manager Nazmul Hossain, and logistics manager Surjit Sarkar.
