Agartala Nov 09: Demanding recruitment of unemployed medical laboratory technologists and technicians, All Medical Laboratory Technologists Association organized a press conference here on Wednesday.

Addressing the press, the leaders of the association said, “We want recruitment of unemployed medical laboratory technologists and technicians under government of Tripura on permanent basis in sufficient number”.

“We tirelessly work behind the curtains without any fail and in extreme conditions to diagnose the real disease of the patients after which the doctor does his/her work”, they added.

The members of AMLTA added that there is severe crisis of Laboratory technologists and technicians in state government hospitals and also the government has halted any kind of recruitment from long time despite of shortage.

“We placed deputations to the concerned authorities on repeated occasions and also tried to meet the state ICA minister as well as the Chief Minister who is also the Health Minister of the state, but nothing fruitful has been done for our sake so far”, they added.

Expressing anger over the silent role of state government and the concerned department, the youths said, “Providing jobs is far away, the authorities did not even feel to call us for a discussion”.

The youths questioned; where the youths of the state are sitting jobless at homes how is the government claiming “Prati Ghar Sushashan”?

The qualified youths demanded immediate intervention of the state health minister and solution to the problem of unemployment.
