
November 9 marked Uttarakhand’s Foundation Day, which was celebrated with due reverence and ceremonial dignity at the Raj Bhavan in Tripura.

The event, held on Sunday, brought together officials from Uttarakhand currently serving in Tripura, along with members of the public, in a gesture of unity and cultural pride.

Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu presided over the occasion and felicitated Uttarakhand-origin officers as a mark of respect. In his address, the Governor emphasized that Raj Bhavan observes the foundation days of all Indian states, using the opportunity to educate citizens about the heritage and significance of each region.

Highlighting Uttarakhand’s identity as “Dev Bhoomi” (Land of the Gods), the Governor noted its unique contributions to national administration and education. He mentioned the prestigious IAS and IFS training academies located in Dehradun, and a special school in Uttarakhand that hosts students from every Indian state — symbolizing the spirit of national integration.
