Agartala, Nov 29: The week-long Heritage Fest – 2022 organised by the Yuva Vikash Kendra has ended here at Agartala on Tuesday with the representatives from 18 different states of the country leaving the state on Tuesfay with the message of peace and tranquillity.
Organised to commemorate the 50 years of Tripura statehood day, the fest began from November 20. The Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated the fest here at Agartala Umakanta ground in Agartala.
A total of 475 representatives from 18 different states including Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Haryana, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Tripura and Bangladesh took part in the fest.
Series of programmes were organised during the week-long fest, where the former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb, MP Rebati Tripura, Minister Shri Bhagaban Chandra Das, Ram Prasad Pal and others took part.
The speakers on their address during the week-long programmes found adequate potential to spread the culture of the states among the youths of the country and abroad in addition to the promotion of tourism through such programs.
Various stalls were set up here at Agartala Umakanta ground, where the women of different Self-Help Groups (SHGs) took part in the fest.
As part of the programme, the delegation visited various tourist spots including Ujjayanta Palace, Akhaura Border, Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, Neer Mahal, Tripureshwari Temple in Udaipur and other parts of the state.
