Apart from that, Chakraborty said, around 1,100 artists from Bengal, Tripura and other parts of the North East shall perform during the seven-day long festivities. “Lakhs of people from different corners of the state visit the temple throughout the seven-day long festival and fair. Thousands of vendors put out their stalls when the festivities are underway. Government departments will also hold exhibitions on their achievements,” said Chakraborty.
According to him, publicity of the fair will be conducted at the national level with hoardings and cut outs being placed in different railway stations and airports. “It is, in fact, a matter of great satisfaction that we have succeeded in taking the festival to the national level,” said Chakraborty.
