Agartala, Aug 04: The success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ is visible now; the women are advancing in all fields, said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.

Addressing annual prize distribution and felicitation programme at Vivekananda Shishu Niketan School in Bishalgarh under Sepahijala district, the Chief Minister said, progress of society is not possible without women empowerment and keeping this view in mind, the state government is working with a priority on women empowerment.

The Chief Minister also encouraged the students to stay disciplined and punctual and respect elders to achieve success in life. He also advised them to involve themselves in sports activities along with study. 

Four meritorious students- Ayushi Sarkar, Tanushree Saha, Suparna Rabidas and Ananya Ghosh were felicitated in the programme for their outstanding results in the Madhyamik examinations.

The Chief Minister lauded the efforts of the school authority and he assured that the state government would take steps to extend assistance to the school

Education Minister Ratanlal Nath, District Magistrate, Sepahijala- Viswashree B., and other dignitaries were present in the programme.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also held an organizational meeting with the party karyakartas of Sepahijala (North) district.
