Agartala Nov 15: Elected from Ward No 16 of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Mayor Dipak Majumder on Tuesday visited his own Ward area to inspect the ongoing developmental works.
Monitoring various ongoing works in the Ramnagar-1 area including road renovation work, Mayor Dipak Majumder said, “The promises made to the people will be met at the earliest”.
The mayor claimed that almost 80 percent of the road renovation work has already been completed.
“The rest of the work will be completed within the next two months”, said the Mayor.
Talking to the locals in the area, Majumder asked the local residents to be careful in disposing garbage in the nearby drains.
“The tendency of disposing all sorts of waste into the drains turns dangerous because the drains get clogged and this results in trouble during the rainy season”, he said.
AMC workers collect waste on a daily basis from each and every nook and corner of the corporation.
The Mayor urged the locals to discard their waste in the AMC dustbin or avail the daily waste collection option by spending a monthly fee of less than Rs 100.
The Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation also highlighted various plans taken up for the beautification of the area.
Later, the Mayor visited “Sushashan Camp” in Ward No 39 under Agartala Municipal Corporation.
Local residents were delivered unique opportunities through various departments in the day’s camp.
Apart from the Mayor, Sadar SDM Arup Roy, Social Worker Sanjay Saha and others remained present at the Camp.
