So despite "Double Delight" in "Double Engine" Uttar Pradesh with one teenage girl thrown out of the car and intentionally crushed down to death with the other gangraped within the moving vehicle and the ordeal happening for as many as 14 hours (that too in highly sanitised/protected roads in the National Capital Region) --- hardly any hue and cry is getting raised in this "conscientious" nation where "collective conscience" gets assaulted "very very selectively"!
Now, what is the mystery behind such deadly silence revolving around the horror of horrors! Is it because the spine-chilling incident has happened in a much-hyped "Saffron state" with the nation preferring to "wake" up their "sleeping" conscience only if any incident of sexual atrocity happens in the much-hated West Bengal ! Perhaps only in "New India" can the decision to protest against sexual atrocities or not remain dependent upon cheap dirty politics !
Or the "silence of graveyard" getting witnessed because of the monetary "pedigree" or clout of the perpetrators of the gangrape and murder !
Or because the devils are "local Hindu children of Bharat Mata", not terror elements originating from any "wrong" nation/state/religion !
When will the Indians learn to treat crime as crime, criminals as criminals and vociferously protest against all incidents of atrocities instead of evaluating the region of occurrence or judging the economic demographic political credentials of the perpetrators as well as that of the innocent victims!
And when will various norms of torture upon the citizens of India, both by the State as well as non-State actors, be stopped right within their own country --- supposedly of people of all languages, race, religion and states ! If the honest hard-working migrant labourers from Bengal get heckled by the goons and compelled to leave Odisha without their belongings and unpaid wages; their counterparts in Rajasthan's Sikar district, working in brick kiln, get detained for days in police station in the name of "interrogation" and "identification"! Have the hapless souls committed a "QUINTUPLE SIN" of sorts --- origin in Bengal, speaking Bangla, professing Islam and daring to venture to the "Double Engine" states for earning an honest livelihood!
And if their "authenticity" gets questioned despite possession of Aadhar and EPIC; then immediately the Government must declare that these cards have no legal value and stop demanding the former right from pregnancy cases in hospital to the crematorium ! On the one hand, Aadhar will be compulsorily demanded for even the minutest of cases, on the other it's authenticity would get blatantly questioned when innocents are required to be harassed -- this blatant hypocrisy must be immediately brought to an end. And also the Racist folks in this country must honestly answer whether taking birth in the religious community of Kazi Nazrul Islam and linguistic community of Rabindranath Tagore and hailing from that courageous region which has sacrificed maximum lives blood and land for the sake of the country's independence form an "UNPARDONABLE CRIME" in "NEW INDIA"!
