Agartala, June 21: Montfort School, Agartala on Tuesday celebrated 8th International Yoga Day and Environment Day with great zeal and enthusiasm.
SDO of PWD- Bijan Das was present. The school students, teachers and their parents participated in the intensive session of Yoga. The benefits of yoga were also explained by the guests.
As a small step towards the goal of a clean and green environment, around 300 saplings were planted inside the school campus as a mark of celebrating Environment Day.
Addressing the programme, Principal of the school- Bro. Joseph Reddy said this type of initiative should be followed up regularly to encourage the students to be more sensitive towards the environment.
