Suvendu Adhikari meets PM Modi in first official visit as West Bengal CM

In his first official engagement after assuming office as Chief Minister of West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the state’s development priorities.

Following the meeting, Adhikari expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his commitment to West Bengal’s progress.

He said the discussions were “highly productive” and that the Prime Minister had reiterated his vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”, assuring full support from the Centre in areas such as economic growth, industrial expansion, job creation, and overall governance reforms.

Later in the day, the Chief Minister also held talks with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, focusing on administrative strategies and future plans for the state. Adhikari noted that Shah’s vast political and administrative experience would provide valuable guidance in steering Bengal’s development agenda.

The new Chief Minister additionally met BJP National President Nitin Nabin, congratulating him on the party’s sweeping success in the recent assembly elections.

Adhikari credited Nabin’s leadership and vision for energizing party workers during the campaign and said the state unit of the BJP would work in unity to strengthen its organizational base while addressing the aspirations of Bengal’s people.

Adhikari concluded by affirming his government’s pledge to deliver transparent administration, good governance, and inclusive development, marking what he described as the beginning of a “new chapter” for West Bengal.
