Agartala July 11: Tripura State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA) launched an awareness campaign on “Save Married Women” in presence of Judge of the High Court of Tripura, Justice T Amarnath Goud.

Addressing the program, Justice T Amarnath Goud said the prime motive behind the launch of this campaign is to raise awareness among married couples so that the killing of women can be stopped. He urged the lawyers and police personnel present at the program to come forward and take initiative in their own arena so that all sorts of Women related crimes and domestic violence can be put to an end.

Adding that these days, divorce cases are on rising, Justice T Amarnath Goud told the lawyers to take the help of police or local leaders of any political party or neighbours and try to solve any marriage-related dispute at the earliest. He told the lawyers to sensitize the couple so that domestic violence and women killing can be eradicated.

He further added, all the pending court cases in the High Court of Tripura related to divorce, alimony, child custody etc till the year 2020 had been solved.
