Agartala July 26: Condemning the central government’s budget for FY 2024-25, the Tripura Pradesh Congress Frontal Cell held a protest rally in the state capital on Friday.
The rally came out from the front of TPCC headquarters, traversed various routes sloganeering against the ‘anti-people budget introduced by the Modi government’ and later copies of the budget were also burnt by the party leaders and activists.
Talking to the reporters about the day’s protest rally, Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress president Neel Kamal Saha said, “This is a Budget of the Corporates, By the Corporates and For the Corporates and has nothing for the unemployed youths, the farmers and the middle-class”.
Slamming the BJP government for allotting higher budget to the states including Andhra Pradesh and Bihar, Saha said, “The Modi government is well aware of its situation that if Naidu and Nitish remove their hands, the NDA government will collapse immediately. And this is why, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar have been allotted a higher budget whereas our state of Tripura and other Indian states have remained deprived of the same”.
Congress leaders claimed that the Union Budget has been designed for the Corporates and has no signs of ‘Modi’s Acche Din’ for the common people.
Pradesh Congress district president Tanmoy Roy, Pradesh Mahila Morcha president Sarbani Ghosh Chakraborty, among others remained present at the protest demonstration.
