Amarpur, July 03: Man with 40 containers of heroin has been arrested by Birganj police on Sunday. The detained is Jyotibarma Jamatia (32), a resident of Buburia village under Birganj police station. Police arrested the accused from the south bank of Amarpur Fatiksagar Dighi on Sunday evening. The accused has been nabbed on the basis of secret information when Sub-Inspector Krishnadhan Debnath and Sandeepan Dev along with OC Jayanta Das reached the spot. In the evening, while the accused was passing through the road, police arrested him. The police filed a case with case number 47/22 in Birganj police station under Section 22 (a) / 29 of the NDPS Act against the accused. The detained will be produced before the Court on Monday.
