Tipra Motha chief and Royal scion Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma will visit Delhi and consult with top lawyers to find out a legal solution regarding the issue of 10,323 terminated teachers.
The announcement came from the Tipra Motha chief in a Facebook post on Monday where he mentioned that he would look after the legal fees for this purpose.
According to Debbarma, his move is to resolve the matter and not embarrass anyone. He also emphasized on bringing a policy to generate employment specially to the youths.
He wrote, "Will be travelling to delhi soon to consult with top lawyers along with some of the 10323 teachers for a legal solution to the problem .I have said that I will look after the legal fees regarding this . The issue is to resolve the matter and not embarrass anyone . The people of the state need employment especially the youth and all of us must get our minds together to bring about a policy irrespective of politics."
The 10,323 teachers recruited by the then Left Front government in 2010 faced termination following court's order due to unfair selection process.
The terminated teachers staged a series of protests and met the then Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb demanding re-appointment but nothing worked so far.
Meanwhile, the number 10,323 has now reduced as many of them already got jobs through TET or in other fields and deaths of some others.
While the terminated teachers' group is visibly happy with the decision of the Pradyot Kishore, many of the people smelled political vision behind this move as the state would go to assembly polls early next year. However, the BJP-IPFT government on several occasions claimed that it would look into the issue on humanitarian ground.
