Belonia, Mar 28: A 12-foot-long venomous king cobra was rescued from the house of Sanjay Chakraborty (47) in Netaji Para, Rajnagar South Gram Panchayat on Friday.

Rajnagar Range staff and the Wildlife Protection Unit organised a joint operation to rescue the snake. 

It was learnt that the snake sudden appearance in the house which left the family in a state of fear. 

Forest officials had to put in significant effort to capture the highly venomous snake safely. 

After the rescue operation, the King Cobra was released at Bison Park.
