Kanchanpur, July 05: 190 families of displaced Brus were moved out of Asha Para, Naising Para, Hazra Para camps and sent to new locations in Dhalai district on Tuesday as a part of resettlement of the refugees. Eight buses and two Max vehicles carried the refugees in presence of District Magistrate Subhasish Acharya, 4 DCM’s of Dhalai district, Kanchanpur Sub-divisional Police Officer Avinash Parash Roy and many others.

Speaking on the occasion, District Magistrate said, permanent resettlement of 2201 families out of 5478 families in Kanchanpur has been completed so far. He added within August 31 the rest of the resettlement procedure will be completed.
